4/24/08 NBA early game selections

Posted by devildogtodd on April 24, 2008

We will most likely have a side and maybe a total bet on the Houston/Utah game later on. But for right now we are going to focus on the two early games.

First game…Orlando at Toronto. Orlando barely pulled out game two of this series and it would not be surprising to see Toronto win this game and cover the -4. However we think the value here is on the Orlando over 100 -115. Toronto has no answer for Dwight Howard at all. Their outside shooters really struggled last game and Orlando still went over 100 for the game. In the first game they hit 114.

With so much attention being given to Howard we think the outside shooters will have plenty of open looks in this game. We’ll count on that, not care who actually wins, and go with the Orlando team total over 100. We advise you to only go as high as 101 on this game and no more.

For the next game, Clevelend at Washington, we are going to go with Washington over 98.5. The Wizards can score, there is no doubt about that, especially at home. Look for Washington to be clicking on all offensive cylinders tonight and for Cleveland to be happy just getting one. We look for Cleveland to play softer on defense and the Wizards to come out shooting well and drive their team total over 98.5 We advise you to go no higher than 99 on this total.

We’ll be back with the Houston/Utah game around halftime of the Cleveland/Washington game. Just a little more information to go through before we make our selections.
